Twelve questions in the style of the real KNM exam. Answer, see where you stand, and share your score.
These questions are written in the style of the real KNM exam (Kennis van de Nederlandse Maatschappij — Knowledge of Dutch Society), covering the same official themes. The actual exam is taken in Dutch as part of the inburgeringsexamen; this quiz gives you a quick, English-language taste of what it asks.
KNM is the part of the Dutch integration exam that tests how Dutch society works — the monarchy and government, work and income, healthcare, housing, history and geography, official bodies, the rule of law, and education. It is one of the sections everyone applying for a Dutch residence permit or citizenship must pass.
On the real KNM you need to reach the official pass mark across roughly forty questions. This 12-question quiz is a preview of the format and themes rather than the graded exam, so treat your score as a fun indicator of where you stand.
Practise the exact KNM question format alongside the other four exam sections — Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking — plus vocabulary and grammar. That full, exam-shaped practice is what the platform is built for.
