Use ik kom uit + the country: Ik kom uit Marokko (I'm from Morocco). To give your nationality, use ik ben + the demonym: Ik ben Marokkaan (male) or Ik ben Marokkaanse (female). For the language you speak, use ik spreek: Ik spreek Arabisch. These three sentences are the backbone of every introduction and come up in the speaking and KNM exams.
Most Dutch nationality words have a separate male and female form: a man from Germany is een Duitser, a woman is een Duitse. The female form usually ends in -e and doubles as the adjective (de Duitse taal, een Duitse auto). The male form varies — -er (Duitser), -aan (Marokkaan), -ees (Chinees) — which is why it's worth learning each one.
Often, yes. Some are close (Polen, Italië), but many differ noticeably: Germany is Duitsland, France is Frankrijk, the United Kingdom is het Verenigd Koninkrijk, and Morocco is Marokko. Spelling and accents change too — Belgium is België, Syria is Syrië. This list gives the Dutch name, the nationality and the language side by side.
The language usually matches the nationality's adjective form: iemand uit Spanje spreekt Spaans, iemand uit Turkije spreekt Turks. Note that the language of the Netherlands is Nederlands (not 'Hollands'), and that some countries have more than one — in België you'll hear Nederlands and Frans. Each entry lists the main language.
